On November 19th, Jinan University held the launch meeting of the "Three Year Action Plan for Enhancing International Influence". The conference aims to implement the deployment of enhancing the international influence of education in the national education development plan, further promote the connotative development of schools, and coordinate the planning of a new chapter of international development. Principal Xing Feng attended the meeting and delivered a speech, while Vice Principal Weng Jian presided over the meeting.
Xing Feng made arrangements for the internationalization of the school's education at the meeting. He stated that international education is the long-term core strategy of the school, and enhancing international influence is crucial to the overall development of the school. He emphasized that the plan is an important measure for the school to fulfill its educational mission, promote the construction of "Double First Class", drive connotative development, and enhance competitiveness. He requested the whole school to gather consensus and work together to create a new situation of international influence construction, and to present a gift for the 120th anniversary of the founding of the school.
Weng Jian pointed out that implementing this plan is a key decision for the school to adapt to the new situation and seize new opportunities, aiming to respond to the goal of expanding the scale of Sino foreign cooperative education and meet the demand for international talents in national and regional development. He stated that this plan is an important support for the school to achieve connotative development and build a high-level research-oriented university, as well as a practical action to serve the development of education.
It is reported that the "Three Year Action Plan for Enhancing International Influence" is a systematic project planned at the top level of the school, coordinated by the Development Planning Department (Higher Education Research and Evaluation Center) and jointly promoted by various units within the school. The attending representatives had in-depth discussions on the theme, laying the foundation for subsequent work. More than 80 responsible persons from various functional departments, campuses, colleges, and directly affiliated research institutes attended the meeting.
