On October 22, the "2025 Ecological Protection and Green Development Forum – Guangzhou" was convened at Jinan University. The forum was guided by the Central Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, hosted by the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the same association, and organized by Jinan University.

Under the theme "Green Development and Ocean Development in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area," experts and scholars at the forum engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on the development and utilization of marine resources as well as marine ecological protection and restoration.
