The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) recently extended its congratulations through an official letter to Professor Jiang Zhengjin of Jinan University, confirming his election as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC).

The Royal Society of Chemistry, founded in 1841, is one of the largest chemical science societies in Europe and is globally recognized as a highly influential and authoritative academic institution. Each year, it elects Fellows from researchers who have made outstanding contributions to chemistry and related disciplines, based on expert recommendations.

Professor Jiang has long been dedicated to research in new methods for biopharmaceutical analysis and separation science theories. He currently holds several key positions, including Vice Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Discipline Leader in Pharmaceutical Analysis, and Director of the Pharmaceutical Analysis Research Center at Jinan University. He also serves as the Deputy Director of the Drug Analysis Technology Branch of the Chinese Medical Biotechnology Association, Director of the Biomedical Analysis Professional Committee of the Guangdong Pharmaceutical Association, and Chairman of the 27th International Symposium on Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, in addition to being a Standing Committee Member of the International PBA Committee.

His innovative research focuses on the screening and analysis of active ingredients in traditional Chinese medicine, full-lifecycle analysis of antibody drugs, and protein target analysis. He has led over 20 national and ministerial-level research projects, including six General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Professor Jiang has authored more than 180 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author in internationally renowned journals such as Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B, TrAC Trends in Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering Journal, Analytical Chemistry, and Journal of Chromatography A.

He also holds several key editorial roles, including Associate Editor of the Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, Co-Editor of Frontiers in Analytical Science, and Guest Editor of Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B. He serves on the editorial boards of multiple journals, such as Journal of Chromatography A, Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis, Biomedicines, Current Analytical Chemistry, Biomedical Analysis, Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica, and the Chinese Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis.

His previous honors include the New Century Excellent Talent from the Ministry of Education, the Second Prize of Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, the Second Prize for Outstanding Teaching Achievements from the Guangdong Academic Degree and Graduate Education Society, the Outstanding Teacher of Southern Guangdong award, the High-Level Overseas Returnee by the Guangdong Provincial Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, and Jinan University's Double Hundred Outstanding Talent and Leading Talent under the University's Elite Program.
