On December 12, 2024, the Second National Adenovirus Academic Symposium took place at Jinan University. This significant event was organized in collaboration with the Virology Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Microbiology and co-hosted by various esteemed institutions, including the School of Life Science and Technology at Jinan University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Opening Ceremony
The conference was presided over by Zhang Qiwei, Vice Dean of the School of Life Science and Technology. Keynote addresses were delivered by:
- Zhang Xiaoxin, Vice President of Jinan University, who highlighted the university's achievements in biomedical sciences and the importance of ongoing collaboration in the field of virology.
- Guo Deyin, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society for Microbiology, who emphasized the critical importance of adenovirus research in enhancing public health measures.
