From December 16 to 18, Guangzhou hosted the 6th China Biomedical Industry Chain Innovation and Transformation Forum alongside the First Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Biomedical Industry Innovation and Transformation Forum. The event, organized by Jinan University and the China Biomedical Industry Chain Innovation and Transformation Consortium, featured collaboration with the National Key Laboratory of Bioactive Molecules and Drug Optimization and the College of Pharmacy at Jinan University.

Exploring Innovation and Development in Biopharmaceuticals
Under the theme Open Innovation, Integrated Chain Symbiosis, the forum focused on innovative transformation pathways and the future trends within the biopharmaceutical industry. It also showcased significant achievements in the biomedical sector.
Notable attendees included:
- Chen Kaixian and Deng Zixin, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences,
- Wang Jianhua, president of the China Association for Industry University Research Cooperation,
- Lei Chaozi, executive vice president of the China Association for Industry University Research Cooperation,
- Zhang Wei, president of the China Association for Drug Administration,
- Fang Wei, deputy director of Guangdong Drug Administration,
- Gu Naihua, deputy president of Jinan University, among other leading experts, government officials, and representatives from educational institutions and businesses.

Program Highlights
The forum featured a robust agenda with a main forum complemented by 10 sub-forums, offering over 80 keynote speeches, roundtable dialogues, and project presentations. The main forum was moderated by Academician Du Guanhua from the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences and Academician Ye Wencai, director of the National Key Laboratory of Bioactive Molecules and Drug Optimization. During the event, Academicians Chen Kaixian and Deng Zixin delivered significant reports.
The forum attracted more than 500 experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders from the biomedical field across the nation, all committed to advancing the integrated development of China’s biopharmaceutical industry chain.
