On December 13, 2024, JNU conducted a training session on the management of domestic non-degree education in Room 836 of the administrative building. This event aimed to enhance understanding of the Ministry of Education's Regulations on the Management of Non-Degree Education in Ordinary Higher Education Institutions (Trial) and to promote effective inspection and rectification efforts.

Training Overview
The training session was chaired by Chen Huiying, Deputy Director of the Party and Government Office and Director of the Legal Affairs Department. Chen Chunchun from the Legal Affairs Department served as the keynote speaker. Over 40 supervisors and management personnel responsible for non-degree education from various colleges, research institutes, and other units on the Shipai Campus attended the session.

Chen Huiying opened the session by discussing the school’s progress in non-degree education management over the past three years. She highlighted that the Ministry of Legal Affairs has been diligently enforcing the Ministry of Education's regulations and enhancing the school's operational standards. Key improvements include:
- Increased policy awareness and project approval processes.
- Strict oversight of cooperative education agreements.
- Enhanced management of the school's name and reputation.
Chen urged all departments to enhance collaboration with the Legal Affairs Department, focusing on risk prevention and control in non-degree education, ensuring rigorous review of partnership agreements, and protecting the school’s reputation and interests.
Management Procedures
Chen Chunchun elaborated on the essential components of the Ministry of Education's management measures, sharing practical examples to illustrate the management processes for project approval, contract reviews, graduation applications, and data archiving related to non-degree education initiatives.
Future Directions
Looking ahead, the Legal Affairs Department plans to implement the Ministry's requirements further by developing management systems, improving information infrastructure, and overseeing operations related to non-degree education. Cooperation with relevant units will be crucial to ensure the healthy and orderly growth of non-degree programs at the school.
Format of the Training
The training utilized a hybrid format, combining in-person attendance with online participation for units located on other campuses via Tencent Meeting, ensuring broad accessibility and engagement for all stakeholders involved in non-degree education management.
