The 15th SFLEP National Foreign Language Teaching Contest took place in Shanghai from December 6th to 8th. Chen Jingyi, a teacher specializing in Japanese at the College of Foreign Studies, excelled in the competition, securing the first prize in the Japanese major group.

Established in 2010, the SFLEP National Foreign Language Teaching Contest is one of the most prestigious competitions in China's foreign language teaching field. This event aims to highlight professional strengths and enhance disciplinary literacy, attracting thousands of exceptional foreign language educators from universities nationwide. The contest involves multiple stages of selection, culminating in a final that rigorously assesses contestants on their teaching design, classroom performance, innovation, and overall teaching effectiveness. Teacher Chen Jingyi received widespread acclaim from judges and attendees for her engaging content, unique teaching design, high enthusiasm, and outstanding performance during the competition.
Reflecting on her achievement, Teacher Chen stated that the award represents not only a personal honor but also a testament to the collaborative spirit of her team and the educational philosophy of the University of Foreign Languages. In preparation for the competition, the College of Foreign Studies conducted trial lectures for young teachers and organized an experienced team to provide focused guidance on critical areas such as teaching design, methods, classroom interaction, and teaching posture, along with support for optimizing courseware and video recordings. This collaborative effort significantly contributed to her success.
Looking ahead, Teacher Chen expressed her commitment to continuing to explore innovative teaching methods aimed at fostering comprehensive student development in Japanese language learning.
