To promote the educational policy of cultivating morality and developing well-rounded individuals, the School of Humanities at Jinan University recently hosted two significant events: the Let Warmth be Heard poetry recitation and the Spiritual Inheritance Ink Fragrance Carnival. These initiatives aim to celebrate traditional Chinese culture, foster patriotism, and collaborate with educational units to inspire a shared vision for the future.

Events Overview
On November 30, 2024, the Let Warmth be Heard poetry recitation took place at Jinan University's Zhuhai campus. Themed Deep Love between Zhuhai and Macao, Poetic Bay Area, the event was organized in collaboration with the Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China Zhuhai Municipal Committee, Zhuhai Media Group, and the Zhuhai Writers Association. It celebrated the 25th anniversary of Macau's return to China, using poetry to express love for the nation and to envision a strong future. Performers showcased the deep connections between Zhuhai and Macao through recitations, songs, and dances, emphasizing unity and collaboration within the Bay Area.
Participants, including teachers and students from Jinan University, noted that the event highlighted the rich heritage of traditional Chinese culture and activated a sense of patriotism among students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, overseas Chinese communities, and the mainland. Ms. Tang Hua, general manager of the poetry recitation event, praised Jinan University's cultural heritage and the strong sense of identity it fosters among its students.
Cross-Disciplinary Cooperation
The following day, on December 1, 2024, the School of Humanities, in partnership with local educational institutions including Gree School and JNU Kindergarten, hosted the Time Series Rotation and Spiritual Inheritance Ink Fragrance Carnival at the Student Activity Center of Jinan University Zhuhai Campus. This event was supported by the Zhuhai Writers Association and aimed to enhance cross-disciplinary educational cooperation.
Future Initiatives
Looking ahead, the School of Humanities plans to continue its collaboration with various sectors to implement multi-stage educational practices. The initiatives align with General Secretary Xi Jinping's vision for educational development, focusing on guiding students to excel academically while promoting traditional Chinese culture globally.
Through these efforts, the School of Humanities at Jinan University is dedicated to cultivating a new generation that appreciates their cultural heritage and is prepared to contribute positively to society.
