On November 30, Wan Gang, Chairman of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jinan University, along with Chen Xu, Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, visited the Panyu Campus of Jinan University. The delegation conducted on-site inspections of several key laboratories, including the National Key Laboratory for Optimizing Bioactive Molecules and Pharmaceutical Properties, the China-Malaysia Joint Laboratory for Oil Processing and Safety along the Belt and Road, and the Computing and Communication Research Center.

During the visit, Wan and Chen provided guidance on the university’s development strategy, emphasizing a trinity approach that integrates education, science and technology, and talent cultivation. They highlighted the importance of advancing key core technologies and fostering new momentum to enhance quality productivity.

The delegation was joined by Lin Rupeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of Jinan University, Xing Feng, President, and other officials from the Central United Front Work Department, along with heads of relevant university departments. Their collaboration aims to strengthen the university's role in scientific research and talent development in alignment with national priorities.
