On November 30, 2024, Jinan University, the Fok Ying Tung Group, and Victoria Harbor Education Group formalized a strategic cooperation agreement at Ying Tung Middle School in Nansha District, Guangzhou. This initiative aims to align with national strategies such as the Outline of the Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Overall Plan for Deepening Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Comprehensive Cooperation towards the World in Nansha, Guangzhou.

The ceremony was attended by notable figures including Wan Gang, chairman of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology and chair of Jinan University; Huo Zhenting, chairman of Fok Ying Tung Group and the Fok Ying Tung Foundation; and Guo Hanyi, executive vice minister of the United Front Work Department of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee. Other distinguished guests included Lin Rupeng, secretary of the Party Committee of Jinan University, and representatives from schools and educational organizations, totaling over 200 attendees consisting of parents, students, and educators.

During the event, Huo Zhenhuan reflected on the achievements of Ying Tung Middle School over its 20-year history, emphasizing the group's commitment to supporting the school's development and enhancing basic education in the Greater Bay Area. He encouraged students to cultivate a global perspective while remaining rooted in their national identity.

Li Jinjun highlighted the advancements made in educational collaboration throughout the Greater Bay Area since the plan's introduction five years ago. He asserted that the partnership among the three organizations is poised to contribute significantly to the region's integrated educational development.

Hong An expressed appreciation for the ongoing support from community leaders and outlined the collaborative commitment to implementing national educational strategies. She emphasized the importance of this cooperation in fostering local economic and social development.

Deng Guangqiang from Victoria Harbour Education Group declared that the partnership represents a new chapter in educational integration and innovation within the Greater Bay Area, aiming to establish high-quality international educational benchmarks.

The agreement was officially signed by Hong An, Huo Zhenhuan, and Deng Guangqiang, witnessed by distinguished guests including local government officials and education leaders, marking a significant step forward in the region's educational collaboration efforts.
