On November 20, 2024, the Guangdong Smart Education Research Institute at Jinan University was awarded first prize at the First National Artificial Intelligence+ Industry Application Innovation Competition held in Chengdu. Their project, titled Key Technologies and Applications of Intelligent Evaluation and Multi-Level Precision Guidance Assisted by Large Language Models, was developed in collaboration with Beijing Century TAL Education Technology Co., Ltd.

This competition aimed to promote the integration of artificial intelligence across various industries, as part of a national initiative encourage scientific and technological innovation in the field. Organized by the Digital Economy Special Committee of the China Electronic Information Industry Federation and the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, the event attracted over 200 teams from prestigious institutions, including Tsinghua University and the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.

The competition evaluated numerous innovative AI+ solutions across diverse sectors such as manufacturing, digital education, and smart healthcare. A panel of experts from government, industry associations, universities, and research institutions ensured a robust and fair evaluation process.

The collaboration between the Guangdong Smart Education Research Institute and TAL Education exemplifies a successful school-enterprise cooperation model, focusing on technological breakthroughs in smart education through shared resources. The award-winning project leverages the National New Generation Artificial Intelligence Open Platform for Smart Education and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Smart Education Joint Key Laboratory.

Moving forward, the Guangdong Smart Education Research Institute is committed to integrating advanced technologies like big data and artificial intelligence to enhance educational quality and accessibility, contributing to the overall advancement of smart education.
