On November 4th, the Party Committee of Zhuhai Campus organized a comprehensive education and training activity for new faculty members, aiming to promote the spirit of the National Education Conference and strengthen the ideological and political work within the teaching staff. This initiative is also part of a broader effort to cultivate teacher ethics and support new educators in adapting to their new environment.

The event saw participation from key figures including Chen Yaozhong, Minister of the School Party Committee and Department of Teacher Work; Lu Jianmin, Secretary of the Campus Party Committee; and Zhu Yunli, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, alongside over 30 new faculty members.

 Key Activities Included:

1. Visit to an Art Exhibition:

   - The new faculty members visited the Woodcut Spring and Autumn Watermark Tianxiang - National Intangible Cultural Heritage: Ten Bamboo Studio Woodblock Watermark Art Exhibition. This experience allowed them to appreciate the richness of traditional Chinese intangible cultural skills and the elegance of woodblock watermark techniques.

2. Tour of the School History Museum:

   - Under the guidance of Lu Jianmin, participants explored the School History Museum, where they learned about the institution's transformation over its 118 years since its founding in 1906. Lu highlighted the significance of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s visit to Jinan University in October 2018 and his encouraging address, urging faculty to embrace the university's rich heritage and focus on making meaningful contributions.

3. Viewing of a Cultural Performance:

   - The faculty also attended a performance of the master drama “Zhenduo,” part of Jinan University’s original cultural masterpiece project, in the school auditorium.

 Outcome of the Activity:

Through these engaging training activities, new faculty members gained a deeper understanding of the school's history and culture, fostering a sense of patriotism and pride in their roles. This initiative has significantly enhanced their sense of belonging to the Jinan University community, setting a positive tone as they embark on their teaching careers.
