From November 4th to 7th, a delegation led by Sun Yu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Jinan University, visited key figures and organizations in Hong Kong and Macau. The delegation included notable members such as He Houhua, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jinan University, alongside other prominent officials.

 Key Meetings and Discussions:

1. Meeting with He Houhua:

   - Sun Yu provided an overview of the Panyu campus's development, celebrating its 10th anniversary. He highlighted the achievements in the construction of Double First Class disciplines and student training initiatives in Macau.

   - He Houhua expressed appreciation for Jinan University's contributions to talent development in Macau and encouraged the university to leverage its strengths in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area for future collaborations.

2. Visit to Luo Yonggang:

   - The delegation met with Luo Yonggang, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong. Sun Yu thanked him for the ongoing support for Jinan University and discussed the school’s efforts in enhancing educational and employment opportunities for students in Hong Kong.

3. Engagement with Cui Shi'an:

   - Sun Yu visited Cui Shi'an, former Chief Executive of the Macao SAR and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. They discussed the university's role in talent cultivation for Macau, with Cui expressing gratitude for the university's contributions and encouraging continued excellence.

4. Discussion with Liu Yiliang:

   - The delegation reported on preparations for the upcoming second meeting of the 9th Board of Directors to Liu Yiliang, Deputy Secretary General. Liu offered valuable suggestions for the meeting and expressed his commitment to actively participate.

5. Exchange with Dai Defeng:

   - Sun Yu met with Dai Defeng, discussing Jinan University's Double First Class construction and student training initiatives. Sun thanked Dai for his support in facilitating student exchanges between mainland China and Hong Kong.

During these visits, they engaged in discussions with alumni representatives and explored potential collaborations to further enhance educational and professional ties between Jinan University and various sectors in Hong Kong and Macau.
