Associate Researcher Feng Tianhua from the College of Information Science and Technology at Jinan University, along with collaborators from Wuyi University, has made significant advancements in integrated information functional devices. Their latest research paper, titled Enhancing Brillouin Scattering with Chalcogenic Metasurfaces of Optical Boundary States in the Continuum and Mechanical Resonance, has been published in the esteemed journal Laser & Photonics Reviews.

This collaborative work, conducted by the research group at Jinan University in conjunction with the Digital Optical Chip Joint Laboratory at Wuyi University, explores cutting-edge techniques for enhancing Brillouin scattering using innovative chalcogenic metasurfaces. The findings hold promising implications for the development of integrated optical devices.
Master's students Yuan Jin and Li Pengteng are recognized as co-first authors of the paper, demonstrating the crucial role that young researchers play in this important work. Both Jinan University and Wuyi University are acknowledged as corresponding author institutions.
This research was supported by several esteemed funding sources, including the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation Youth Enhancement Project, the National Natural Science Foundation Joint Fund Key Support Project, and the Guangdong Provincial Higher Education Talent Group Based Assistance Work Special Fund.
