Associate Professor Jiang Ruifen from the Department of Environmental Health at Jinan University, together with Associate Professors Chen Guosheng, Shen Yong, and Ouyang Gangfeng from Sun Yat-sen University, has made a significant contribution to environmental science with their recent publication. Their paper titled Boosting the Photocatalytic Decomposition Efficiency Using a Supramolecular Photoenzyme Ensemble has been published in the esteemed journal Science Advances, recognized as a top-tier publication by the Chinese Academy of Sciences with an impact factor of 11.7.

This innovative study introduces a novel supramolecular photocatalytic system designed for the efficient removal of organic pollutants from water. By leveraging a supramolecular approach, the research demonstrates enhanced photocatalytic decomposition efficiency, providing a promising solution for water purification.
Luo Gan, a master's student from the School of Environment and Climate, is acknowledged as a co-first author for his contributions to the research.
