The Chinese sports delegation made a remarkable impact at the 33rd Summer Olympics, clinching a total of 40 gold medals, 27 silver medals, and 24 bronze medals. As these athletes stood on the podium, their confident smiles became a point of pride and attention, reflecting their years of dedication and hard work.

Among those contributing to this success was Yu Yuelin, a graduate student from the School of Stomatology at Jinan University, who joined the Chinese Champion Smile Guarantee Team. This initiative, launched by Time Angel in collaboration with the Training Bureau of the General Administration of Sport of China, aimed to provide comprehensive oral health services to Chinese athletes competing in Paris, ensuring they had the best possible condition and the most confident smiles on the world stage.

As a member of the Chinese Champion Smile Guarantee Team, Yu Yuelin's primary responsibilities included conducting targeted oral examinations and analyses for athletes. Utilizing his professional knowledge and clinical experience in dentistry, he produced comprehensive and personalized oral health status reports and offered essential medical advice. Throughout this period, he assisted numerous athletes, including Olympic swimming champion Wang Shun, diving champion Long Daoyi, gymnastics world champion Qiu Qiyuan, and fellow diving champion Lian Junjie, all of whom received oral health examinations at the support camp.

Yu Yuelin expressed pride in being part of this initiative, stating, It's an honor to be on the front line, using my expertise to support Olympic athletes during their journey at the Paris Olympics. I aim to ensure that they compete at their best with healthy, confident smiles.

Yu Yuelin's involvement in this prestigious team follows in the footsteps of his mentor, Professor Kong Weidong, who previously provided dental medical service support during the Jakarta Asian Games. This connection emphasizes the tradition of excellence in dental care at Jinan University. Yu Yuelin articulated his commitment to showcasing Chinese dental technology globally and spreading the power of the Chinese smile to the world.

Through his hard work and dedication, Yu Yuelin received an honorary certificate as part of the China Champion Smile Guarantee Team. His efforts not only highlight the importance of oral health in athletics but also reflect the spirit and professionalism of Jinan University's School of Stomatology.

This experience has allowed Yu Yuelin to blend his passion for sports with his professional skills, demonstrating the vital role that dental health plays in an athlete’s overall performance.
