A team led by Professor Wang Sicong and Professor Li Xiangping from the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering at Jinan University has published their latest research findings in the prestigious journal Physical Review Letters. The article, titled Topological Structures of Energy Flow: Poynting Vector Skyrmions, explores innovative concepts in the field of energy flow.

Associate Researcher Wang Sicong is the first author of the paper, with Professor Li Xiangping serving as the corresponding author, showcasing strong academic collaboration within the team. This significant research was independently conducted at Jinan University.
The study has been supported by notable funding sources, including the National Key Research and Development Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, reflecting the importance of this work in advancing the understanding of topological structures in physics.
Associate Researcher Wang Sicong has a dedicated focus on vector light field regulation and high-capacity optical storage, having published over 20 papers in reputable journals such as Physical Review Letters, Light: Science & Applications, and Opto-Electronic Advances. He has also led multiple projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation.
Professor Li Xiangping specializes in nano-optics, metasurfaces, laser processing, and optical storage. He has successfully led and participated in more than 10 national and provincial research projects, published over 150 SCI-indexed papers, and his work has garnered more than 8000 citations, with an H-index of 47.
