Winning Project Details
After a rigorous six-month selection process, the collaborative team of the Guangdong Institute of Smart Education and TAL showcased their forefront educational concepts and advanced technological capabilities. Their project—developed with the support of the National New Generation Artificial Intelligence Open Platform for Smart Education and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Smart Education Joint Key Laboratory—was awarded the first prize in the Digital Education Special Competition.
The intelligent guidance technology integrates advanced capabilities of big language models, artificial intelligence, big data, and intelligent knowledge graphs. This innovative approach capitalizes on the immense potential of big language models, enabling a more personalized and interactive educational experience.
Addressing Educational Challenges
Traditionally, the field of education has faced the impossible triangle, which states that achieving personalization, high quality, and scalability simultaneously is challenging. The advent of big language models provides a solution to this dilemma. These models can comprehend and generate natural language, thereby enhancing interactivity. By leveraging this capability, the intelligent guided learning technology constructs a detailed educational knowledge graph, achieving multi-level knowledge structuring and deep cognitive diagnostics, ultimately facilitating tailored learning experiences for students.
New Product Launch
Currently, the Guangdong Institute of Smart Education has launched an innovative smart Q&A tool for mathematics—Jiuzhang on the Move. This tool assists students in solving mathematical problems through guidance rather than direct answers, which fosters independent problem-solving skills.
When a student engages with the Jiuzhang Ask at Any Time tool, it first evaluates the key knowledge points involved in the problem at hand. Following this, it guides the student step-by-step through the thought process required to reach a solution, thereby promoting deeper understanding and independent learning.
