The on-site finals of the 4th National College Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition took place at Chengdu University of Electronic Science and Technology from July 27 to 31, 2024. After intense competition among numerous participants, the teaching team from Jinan University excelled, securing one first prize, three second prizes, and one third prize. All five teaching teams representing JNU achieved remarkable results, showcasing the dedication and innovation of its faculty.

1. First Prize:

The National College Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition is the only officially sanctioned college teacher teaching competition by the Ministry of Education and is included in the List of Three Evaluations and One Competition Reserved Projects for Directly Affiliated Units of the Ministry of Education. This competition aims to promote teaching innovation and the cultivation of top-notch talents, aligning with the new requirements in the education evaluation reform initiated in 2020.
With over 100,000 teachers from more than 1,200 universities across 32 competition areas participating, the competition had a significant turnout. After rigorous school and provincial competitions, more than 1,700 teachers submitted a total of 438 courses for the national finals.
The success of JNU at this prestigious event is attributed to the strong support from the administration. The Secretary of the Party Committee, Lin Rupeng, and President, Xing Feng, emphasized the importance of this competition. Vice Presidents Weng Jian and Zhang Xiaoxin provided robust guidance and encouragement during the preparation phase.
The Teacher Development Center, along with various colleges, actively supported the participating teachers by organizing over 70 seminars and training sessions. Expert teams across the school contributed selflessly by guiding the teams on various teaching innovations, enhancing course designs, and refining teaching reports.
Through their innovative teaching methods and exploration of new teaching models, the participating teachers demonstrated exceptional professional qualities and highlighted the ongoing reform and innovation efforts within undergraduate teaching programs, reflecting the distinguished character of Jinan University.
