On June 28, 2024, the Guangdong Provincial People's Government hosted the 10th Guangdong Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award Ceremony, celebrating significant contributions to the field. JNU has garnered a total of 48 awards this year, marking a remarkable increase of 12 awards compared to the previous edition, and setting a new historical record.
The awards received include 12 first prizes, 16 second prizes, and 20 third prizes, spanning 16 disciplines such as journalism and communication, economics, management, literature, linguistics, and history.

The Guangdong Provincial Excellent Achievement Award in Philosophy and Social Sciences was established by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government to recognize both collective and individual contributions to philosophical and social science research in the province. The award aims to promote the flourishing development of philosophy and social sciences in Guangdong.

In recent years, JNU has made meaningful strides in developing philosophy and social sciences with distinctive Chinese characteristics. It has increased targeted efforts to cultivate substantial achievements and guided the production of high-level academic work, significantly contributing to the advancement of philosophy and social sciences at its institution.
