The 2024 Faculty and Staff Badminton Team Competition, organized by the school's labor union and the School of Physical Education, took place on June 15th at the Shaw Run Shaw Sports Center. The event was well attended, with nearly 200 faculty members from 24 secondary unions participating in the competition.

After intense matches, the top eight teams emerged victorious, showcasing their skills and teamwork. The teams that secured top positions include the School of Management Team, Information Science and Technology Team, School Organization Team 1, Shenzhen Campus Team, Chinese Academy of Literature Team, School Organization Team 2, Science and Engineering Environment Team, and School of Economics Team.

During the award ceremony, Chen Ying, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee, Xu Yixiong, Executive Vice Chairman of the Trade Union, Ma Jie, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Sports College, and Li Yang, President of the Badminton Association of Teachers and Staff, presented awards to the winning teams, recognizing their dedication and sportsmanship.

The badminton team competition not only promotes physical fitness and sportsmanship among faculty and staff but also contributes to the school's national fitness initiatives. By encouraging more participation in sports activities, the competition helps foster a culture of sports and wellness within the academic community, aligning with the school's goals of promoting a healthy lifestyle and supporting its vision of becoming a Double First Class institution and a high-level university.
