JNU's Analysis and Testing Center has achieved another milestone, successfully passing the Comprehensive Metrology Accreditation (CMA) review and evaluation for inspection and testing institutions. This marks the third consecutive review cleared by the center since its initial national metrology certification in 2008.

The on-site evaluation team, sanctioned by the State Administration for Market Regulation, comprised esteemed figures like Professor Fang Jianglin from Nanjing University's Modern Analysis Center, Professor Yan Jingli from Southeast University's Analysis and Testing Center, and Senior Experimental Engineer Liu Hongtao from Sun Yat-sen University's Analysis and Testing Center. Vice President Weng Jian of Jinan University presided over the opening meeting, with Director Xu Shihai and Vice Director Ou Yunfu of the Analysis and Testing Center, alongside all center faculty members, actively participating in the evaluation processes.

Weng Jian, on behalf of the university, delivered a warm welcome, outlining Jinan University's history and the strategic vision of Overseas Chinese School + Famous School. He commended the center for its role in advancing research innovation and aiding the development of top-tier disciplines. Weng encouraged the center to enhance its services, optimize instrument utilization efficiency, and embrace feedback from the evaluation team to elevate the center's standards and foster continued growth.
Fang Jianglin provided a comprehensive overview of the review's basis, objectives, methods, and schedule, setting the tone for the evaluation proceedings. Ou Yunfu presented essential information on the center's operations, quality management system, and certification processes.
Over three days, the expert panel rigorously scrutinized the center's structure, resources, personnel, equipment, management systems, and testing capabilities. Various assessment techniques, such as blind sample tests and report verification, were employed to gauge the center's proficiency.
In the concluding meeting, Fang Jianglin announced the review outcomes, affirming the center's adherence to standards in legal status, organizational structure, management operations, personnel, equipment, and testing capacities. The evaluation team unanimously recommended the renewal of the Analysis and Testing Center's qualification certification, providing suggestions for addressing any identified issues.
Xu Shihai expressed gratitude to the review experts, vowing to leverage the review findings to enhance the center's operations. By rectifying identified issues, bolstering implementation, and delivering precise and reliable testing services, the center aims to play a pivotal role in supporting Jinan University's pursuit of excellence as a Double First Class institution.
The CMA, also known as China Metrology Certification, ensures the legal validity and credibility of data provided by certified inspection agencies. Led by the National Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA), the qualification certification process guarantees compliance with rigorous standards, enhancing the trustworthiness of inspection and testing services.
