On June 8th, the prestigious Fuli Teaching Building in Jinan University's Shipai Campus played host to the culminating event of the China International College Student Innovation Competition (2024) – Finals of JNU Competition. With nearly 2000 participating teams and over 7000 students engrossed in the competition, the stakes were high as 80 teams vied for top honors in three distinct categories: the Undergraduate Creative Group, Graduate Creative Group, and the invigorating Youth Red Dream Building Journey.

Before the commencement of the event, Vice President Zhang Xiaoxin graced the final venue, instilling a sense of determination and enthusiasm within the participating students. Emphasizing the significance of the competition, he urged the teams to exhibit unity, relentless effort, and a collective spirit. Coupled with words of encouragement, Zhang Xiaoxin entrusted the representatives of the Youth Red Dream Building Journey with a symbolic flag, challenging them to immerse themselves in China's cultural ethos, enhance their innovative acumen, and refine their characters through unwavering dedication.

As the dust settled after a fiercely contested competition, the projects that rose to the top in their respective categories were the Brain-like Engineering - Artificial Neuron Electronic Synapse Device in the undergraduate section, the Creating the First Recombinant TNF-α Prostate Cancer Treatment Drug in the graduate category, and the thought-provoking Bay Area Youth Says: Based in the Bay Area, the Voice Spreads Across the World in the Youth Red Dream Building Journey track.

The China International College Student Innovation Competition (2024), a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, stands as a beacon of inspiration for budding innovators and entrepreneurs. Since its inception in 2015, the competition has garnered widespread acclaim, fostering a culture of creativity and problem-solving among college students. Projects showcased at the event spanned diverse fields, addressing contemporary challenges and underlining the students' ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical solutions.

With a resolute commitment to nurturing a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among its students, Jinan University continues to spearhead initiatives that blend practical education with academic rigor.
