The recently held Guangdong-Hong Kong High School Intercollegiate Badminton Invitational Tournament at Jinan University's Shipai Campus Sports Center aimed to strengthen ties among high schools in Guangdong and Hong Kong and foster sports interaction in the Greater Bay Area. Organized by Jinan University's Office of Basic Education and the Affiliated School of JNU for Hong Kong & Macao Students, with support from the School of Physical Education, the event featured 12 schools from the region, including renowned institutions like Fanling Salvation College and Lu Mingcai Middle School.

During the event, Huang Mian from the Guangzhou Education Bureau highlighted the shared heritage of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, emphasizing the importance of youth exchanges in the region. Liang Yan, of Jinan University's United Front Work Department, praised the tournament for promoting mutual understanding and camaraderie among young athletes. Tan Rixu, President of the Affiliated School of JNU for Hong Kong & Macao Students, underscored the significance of integrating sports and education to nurture well-rounded individuals.

The competition included team and individual matches, showcasing the talent and teamwork of participants. Winners such as Mai Le and Li Xintao demonstrated exceptional skill in their respective categories, while exciting doubles matches featuring national-level players added to the event's excitement.
