A groundbreaking research study conducted by the distinguished team led by Professor Wang Jizhuang and Professor Li Dan from the School of Chemistry and Materials at Jinan University has propelled the realm of nanotechnology into new frontiers. Presenting their innovative work on an optomagnetic composite silicon-based micromotor with a metal insulator semiconductor (MIS) structure, the team has significantly advanced the field of silicon nanowire motors.

The collaborative efforts of graduate students Gao Yuxin and Ou Leyan from Jinan University's School of Chemistry and Materials, alongside the seasoned expertise of Associate Professor Wang Jizhuang and Professor Li Dan as the corresponding authors, have cemented Jinan University as the exclusive participating institution. Noteworthy contributions were also made by Professor Tang Jinyao's research group from the University of Hong Kong, further enriching the interdisciplinary collaboration driving this innovative work.
Acknowledging the significance of this research endeavor, a multitude of funding bodies, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Guangdong Province Major Basic and Applied Basic Program, and various other pivotal agencies, have lent steadfast support to propel this research forward.
