In line with China's progressive digital education strategy, the landscape of digital education in the country is evolving from the 3C model to the 3I model, focusing on integration, intelligence, and internationalization. The Ministry of Education's push for MOOCs going global is spearheading global educational digitalization by sharing China's online education accomplishments openly.
During the 6th Smart Teaching Seminar of the Ministry of Education's Online Education Research Center on April 23rd, an announcement was made regarding a new wave of high-quality MOOCs traveling to Thailand and Indonesia. Notably, one of JNU's courses ventured to Thailand, while 15 courses made their way to Indonesia, marking a significant milestone for our institution in Thailand and further expanding our presence in Indonesia.
Jinan University has been actively engaging in the MOOC Going Abroad initiative. By the end of April, we had successfully delivered 22 top-tier MOOCs to platforms in South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, and launched courses on various international platforms like Love Course and Xuetang Online. Moreover, JNU introduced 132 courses on the national higher education intelligent education platform, with 11 courses concurrently offering an international version. This stride in international education not only boosts the global influence of JNU MOOCs and online education but also fosters increased international collaboration in higher education, showcasing a commitment to disseminating Chinese cultural excellence worldwide.
