On April 30, 2024, the Zhuhai Campus of Zhuhai Public Security Bureau's Xiangzhou District organized a comprehensive fire safety evacuation drill at Building 1 of the student dormitory, showcasing a proactive approach towards enhancing emergency response capabilities and fostering a culture of safety within the campus community. The exercise, attended by over 200 individuals, including esteemed guests like Fu Hui, Deputy District Mayor of Xiangzhou District, and Li Ping, Minister of the Political Security Department of the School Party Committee, underscored the importance of preparedness and coordinated action in mitigating potential fire hazards.

The simulation scenario depicted a dormitory fire emergency, prompting swift activation of the fire evacuation plan. Students, under the guidance of dormitory administrators, demonstrated a disciplined and organized response by evacuating the premises while adhering to safety protocols. The campus fire volunteer team and the Qianshan fire rescue unit promptly intervened to initiate firefighting operations, with various designated groups efficiently managing evacuation, comfort, and medical assistance tasks. Notably, the successful rescue of a trapped student underscored the efficacy of the coordinated response efforts.

Tan Jiaguang, Director of Qianshan Police Station, commended the drill participants for their prompt and effective response, emphasizing the importance of enhancing safety awareness and preparedness among students and staff. The exercise not only bolstered the campus's emergency response capabilities but also instilled a heightened sense of fire safety consciousness among the campus community, equipping them with essential skills for potential crisis situations.

Following the evacuation drill, the campus organized experiential activities such as Fire Smoke Simulation Escape and High Altitude Slow Descent, facilitated by the security office, Student Affairs Office/Youth League Committee, and Ping An Guangzhou Volunteer Service Team. These activities provided valuable hands-on experience to participants, further reinforcing safety protocols and emergency response strategies.
