The bustling Shipai campus of Jinan University played host to the highly anticipated 2024 Bay Area Tour Job Fair on April 25th, 2024. Organized by the People's Government of Dongguan City and co-sponsored by Jinan University, the event brought together esteemed leaders and representatives to facilitate talent attraction and recruitment activities, aiming to bolster the involvement of youth from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao in national development initiatives.

Distinguished guests including Lin Rupeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of Jinan University, Zheng Jianmin, Chairman and Party Secretary of the Dongguan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Li Jun, Deputy Mayor of Dongguan Municipal People's Government, graced the occasion. Notable figures from various departments and colleges of Jinan University also partook in the event, underscoring the collaborative spirit driving the initiative.

During the promotion meeting, Lin Rupeng extended a warm welcome to the delegation from the Dongguan Municipal People's Government, emphasizing the shared goal of fostering talent attraction and recruitment efforts. He encouraged students to actively engage with the opportunities presented and highlighted the university's commitment to enhancing cooperation with the Dongguan Municipal People's Government for mutual benefit and progress.

Following the meeting, the dignitaries visited an exhibition showcasing the longstanding partnership between Dongguan and Jinan University before proceeding to the job fair. There, they provided on-site guidance and spearheaded the special initiative of Visiting businesses to explore new job opportunities further underscoring the collaborative efforts to drive meaningful outcomes for students and employers alike.

The event saw the convergence of 96 local enterprises and institutions from Dongguan, offering a staggering 2870 high-quality employment opportunities across diverse sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, research and technology services, finance, and more. Renowned entities such as China Telecom Dongguan Branch, Guangdong Huasheng Nano Technology Co., Ltd., and Dongguan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital were among the participants, reaffirming the event's significance in fostering robust industry-academia partnerships and facilitating high-quality employment prospects for Jinan University graduates.
