President Xing Feng, an esteemed academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the head of Jinan University, embarked on a significant visit to Macau and Zhuhai from April 19 to 21, 2024. The delegation, led by President Xing Feng, engaged in a series of academic and alumni-related activities, fostering collaborations and strengthening ties with key institutions and alumni in the region.

During their visit to Macau, President Xing Feng and his team met with Zheng Xincong, the director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region. Zheng Xincong commended Jinan University for its longstanding support in nurturing talents in Macau and emphasized the importance of continuing to enhance opportunities for Macau students. He outlined four key areas of collaboration, including increasing enrollment publicity, improving student training and employment prospects, fostering alumni networks, and deepening cooperation in talent development and research endeavors.

Subsequently, the delegation visited the Macau University of Science and Technology, where President Xing Feng lauded the institution for its impressive advancements in recent years. Both parties discussed avenues for further collaboration in talent development, enrollment strategies, and educational practices. Vice President Jiang Zhihong provided insights into the university's progress, highlighting achievements in traditional Chinese medicine, interdisciplinary research, joint laboratories, and successful enrollment initiatives.

A pivotal aspect of the visit was the exploration of the State Key Laboratory for Quality Research of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Macau University of Science and Technology. Established in 2011 with the endorsement of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, this laboratory stands as a pioneering State Key Laboratory dedicated to traditional Chinese medicine research.

Furthermore, President Xing Feng and his delegation engaged with members of Jinan University's board of directors and participated in vibrant alumni exchange activities in Zhuhai and Macau. They interacted with various alumni associations, including the Zhuhai Alumni Association, Zhuhai Campus Alumni Association, International Business School Alumni Association, Macau Alumni Association, and Management School Macau Alumni Association. The delegation also visited alumni company Hengqin Tongchuang Digital Economy Industrial Park, acknowledging the dedication and enthusiasm displayed by alumni in their respective fields.

President Xing Feng affirmed the commitment to fostering strong relationships with alumni, board members, and societal stakeholders, underscoring the collective effort towards the continuous growth and development of Jinan University through collaborative partnerships and mutual success.
