JNU Gears Up for 4th Guangdong Provincial College Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition

On April 3nd, Jinan University, in a proactive move towards fostering educational excellence, convened a preparatory work meeting and collective tutoring session in anticipation of the upcoming on-site finals of the 4th Guangdong Provincial College Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition. Vice President Weng Jian graced the occasion, joined by expert representatives and participating lecturers vying for recognition in the prestigious provincial contest.


Extending felicitations on behalf of the institution, Weng Jian commended the dedication of the nominated teachers and teams, urging them to seize the competition as a prime opportunity for honing their pedagogical prowess. Emphasizing the significance of embracing teaching innovation and practical methodologies, he encouraged educators to glean insights from past training sessions, integrating newfound expertise into both competitive endeavors and day-to-day teaching responsibilities. Weng Jian underscored the competition's dual role in individual growth and institutional teacher cultivation, underscoring the imperative for unwavering support from all academic quarters.


During the meeting, guiding expert representatives shared invaluable insights gleaned from their teaching reform experiences, focusing on course design, evaluation techniques, and ideological education within the curriculum. Participants engaged in fruitful exchanges, seeking guidance on optimizing their teaching strategies and presentation styles for the impending competition.


Scheduled to unfold from April 19th to 21st at Southern Medical University, the on-site finals promise a platform for showcasing pedagogical prowess and innovative teaching practices. The Undergraduate Teacher Development Center remains steadfast in its commitment to equipping participants with the requisite tools and resources, facilitating tailored coaching sessions and mock exercises to bolster their competitive readiness.


As the educational community rallies behind its educators, the stage is set for a vibrant display of pedagogical ingenuity at the forthcoming competition.
