The Winning in Innovation Jinan University Innovation Competition Season has commenced with great enthusiasm and innovative projects from talented teams across various disciplines. Here are some highlights from the competition:
1. Flexible Strain Sensor: Led by Chen Xuanwen from the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, this project focuses on developing a wearable flexible sensing system with high sensitivity for improved gesture recognition and human-machine interaction. The team's innovative approach to sensor design and real-time data monitoring garnered them the Most Popular Award and the Best Project Award.

2. Turning Waste into Treasure: Team led by Tang Haibin from the School of Mechanics and Architecture Engineering showcased a project on recycling solid waste from fiberglass composite materials. Their method of processing solid waste into fiber materials with different morphologies has practical applications in building materials, demonstrating significant economic benefits and environmental sustainability.

3. Guarding the Safety of Wind Turbines: Chen Sixiao's team from the School of Mechanics and Architecture Engineering presented a project focused on accurately predicting the fatigue of wind turbine foundations. By establishing a mathematical model for fatigue load spectrum and utilizing advanced simulation techniques, the team aims to enhance the reliability and safety of wind turbine structures.
4. Potassium Era: Ren Zihua's team from the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering showcased their research on creating a new generation of long-life batteries using an electroactivation strategy. By modifying the physical and chemical properties of organic cathode materials, the team aims to advance the practical application of potassium ion batteries and contribute to sustainable energy solutions.
The Jinan University Innovation Competition has been a cornerstone of the university's double innovation education, providing a platform for students to showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills. With a history of 18 successful seasons, the 19th season promises to be another exciting chapter in the university's innovation journey, with multiple stages of competition across different campuses.
