Jinan University has recently received approval for two significant research projects in the fields of philosophy and social sciences by the Ministry of Education in 2023, positioning the university as the third-highest in the country in terms of approved projects.
The approved projects highlight the school's academic strengths and distinctive disciplines, showcasing both theoretical research significance and practical research value. Notably, Professor Dai Shengli, the Dean of the School of Public Management/School of Emergency Management, leads the research on the national action system for ecological environment governance. Additionally, Professor Lin Zhongxuan, Vice Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication, and Executive Deputy Director of the Center for Computational Communication Research, heads the research on constructing the international communication discourse system in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The Ministry of Education's Major Project of Philosophy and Social Science Research aims to support higher education institutions in aligning with national economic and social development needs, advancing disciplinary frontiers, conducting innovative research, and exerting significant influence in the realm of social science research in China.

Dai Shengli, a distinguished figure in academia, has led numerous major research projects in philosophy and social sciences, receiving accolades such as the Second Prize for Science and Technology Progress in Hubei Province. His team will delve into the National Action System for Ecological Environment Governance, proposing strategic solutions to enhance China's environmental governance system.

Lin Zhongxuan, a prominent scholar in journalism and communication, will spearhead the research on the Construction of International Communication Discourse System in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This project aims to establish a localized and regional discourse system, focusing on key elements, evaluation mechanisms, and the knowledge system of international communication in the Greater Bay Area.
These projects underscore Jinan University's commitment to cutting-edge research and its contribution to advancing knowledge in critical areas of philosophy and social sciences.
