In a recent initiative aimed at rural revitalization, students from Jinan University have embarked on a mission to the frontline of rural areas in Guangdong Province. Under the banner of the Double Hundred Action, these students have formed specialized social practice teams to provide assistance in various industries such as Qinghua rice noodles, Dungang water chestnets, Baitangshan tea, and Shiba selenium-rich rice. Their services range from agricultural technology assistance to live streaming sales for local farmers, with a focus on promoting rural development and sustainability.
Venturing into regions like Shixing County, Shaoguan City, Boluo County, Huizhou City, and Chengbei Town, Meijiang District, Meizhou City, the students are actively engaging with local communities to integrate their academic knowledge with practical experiences. By immersing themselves in the cultural and economic landscapes of these areas, they aim to contribute their skills and energy to the ongoing efforts of rural revitalization.
In one instance, the research team led by Liang Xiaoxuan delved into the tea industry and cultural tourism of Baitang Town, Huizhou City, to promote the local tea culture through a live broadcast activity titled Tea Journey. Recognizing the importance of enhancing the popularity of Baitangshan tea, the team is dedicated to fostering sustainable growth in the region and expanding the reach of its tea industry beyond local boundaries.
