From January 8th to 10th, Lin Rupeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of JNU, and Hong An, Vice President, led a high-level delegation to Macau, where they engaged in a series of strategic meetings with key figures in the region.
The visit included discussions with prominent individuals such as Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of JNU, He Houhua, as well as Yan Zhichan, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region, and Cui Shi'an, former Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of JNU. Additionally, the delegation visited the Macao Education and Youth Development Bureau and hosted a welcoming symposium for the Macau School Directors.

During their visit, Lin Rupeng and his team expressed their gratitude to Ho Hau Wah for his unwavering support and care towards JNU. They highlighted the university's significant achievements in teaching reform, subject development, Double First Class university construction, talent introduction, student training, and its role in contributing to the development of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. Furthermore, they underscored the school's enrollment, student employment, and alumni work in Macau. In response, Ho Hau Wah expressed appreciation for JNU's commitment to the development of Macau and encouraged the university to continue leveraging its strategic advantages in the Greater Bay Area, contributing to talent cultivation, and guiding Macau's youth to integrate into the overall development of the country.
The delegation also engaged in productive dialogues with Yan Zhichan and Cui Shi'an, focusing on topics such as talent cultivation, youth employment, and educational opportunities for Macau students. Yan Zhichan expressed gratitude for the university's contribution to talent development in Macau and encouraged the optimization of enrollment paths and the development of innovative talent reserve methods. Cui Shi'an commended JNU's achievements and expressed hope for Macau's youth to seize the opportunity to study at the university, contributing to social development.
Additionally, the delegation met with the Macau Education and Youth Development Bureau, where they discussed opportunities for deeper cooperation in higher education development, discipline construction, and talent joint training. Director Gong Zhiming and other relevant leaders extended their appreciation to JNU for its outstanding contributions to youth education in Macau.
The visit culminated in the 2024 Macau New Year Symposium for the Board of Directors of JNU, where Lin Rupeng expressed gratitude to the board members for their long-term attention, care, and support. He presented the school's achievements and development plans, emphasizing the importance of continued support from the Macau board members in advancing the university's education industry and further enhancing its reputation.
