(The unveiling ceremony)
The Southern Finance Forum-Academic Seminar on Building Financial Power and Pursuing High-Quality Development was held ta JNU on Nov. 26, along with the unveiling ceremony of the National Finance Research Center. Over 60 financial experts, scholars and representatives from more than 20 universities in China discussed topics related to contemporary Chinese economic development, including China's unique financial characteristics, high-level opening-up, new financial formats, financial innovation, macroeconomic regulation and financial risk prevention. The seminar explored how finance can promote high-quality development and the opportunities and challenges that may arise in the implementation of financial power strategy from multiple dimensions, including national financial behavior, administration of justice and supervision, and digital economy.
Chen Yunxian, the founding figure of new discipline of mesoeconomics and national finance studies at Sun Yat-sen University, and former deputy governor of Guangdong, jointly unveiled the plaque for the National Finance Research Center with Xia Quan, deputy secretary of the JNU Party Committee, Liu Shaobo, executive dean of JNU's Advanced Institute of Finance, and Wang Chunchao, dean of the School of Economics.
Chen spoke on National Finance Studies and Building a Financial Power, Financial Security, and High-Quality Development Lian Qi, vice secretary of the Nankai University Party Committee, spoke on Is there a Value Spillover Effect in the Green Bank Loan Relationship? A Study Based on Bond Financing Costs. Hu Jinyan, Qingdao University Party Secretary, spoke on Building Chinese Characteristics in Finance While Keeping Up with the Times, and Li Jianjun, vice president of the Central University of Finance and Economics, spoke on Judicial Improvement and Financing Costs for Real Economy: An Analysis Based on the Establishment of National Circuit Courts and Bank Loan Data.

The conference also featured a concurrent roundtable forum where experts and scholars discussed such topics as high-level financial opening, new financial formats and innovation, capital market development, financial macro regulation, and preventing and resolving financial risks. They provided profound insights and suggestions on how to promote the construction of a financial power and achieve high-quality development of the financial market.
