JNU President Song Xianzhong led a delegation to the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) from Nov. 9 to 10 to study and discuss cooperation issues. The delegation was accompanied by the head of JNU's Office of Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese Affairs, the head of the JNU Board in Hong Kong and relevant staff members.
At EdUHK, President Li Zijian and Vice President Zheng Meihong received the delegation on the morning of Nov. 9. The two parties signed a framework agreement on academic cooperation; planning to carry out industry-university-research cooperation in overseas Chinese studies and education; environmental science; information security; biomedical science; cultural heritage creativity, and gathering both parties' strengths to contribute to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The two schools also signed a student exchange agreement to promote academic cooperation and communication between faculty members and students.

That afternoon, HSUHK President He Shunwen and Vice President Fang Yonghao received the delegation. The two parties signed a memorandum of understanding on the spot to promote exchanges and cooperation in financial fraud prevention; machine-aided translation; international relations; Greater China studies through exchange of faculty and students, and co-organization of academic conferences.

The delegation was invited to attend Li's inauguration ceremony on Nov. 10, as well as the 70th anniversary celebration of Shun Hing Group, a large-scale enterprise based in Hong Kong, by JNU Board Meng Deyang.
