JNU's School of Management celebrated its 25th anniversary on the Shipai campus on Nov. 11.

JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng said the school represented a glorious page in the history of business education in China. He predicted it would continue to uphold the mission of integrating and refining Chinese management wisdom to cultivate management elites who are familiar with Chinese culture for the world.

In a work report, the school's dean, Li Wenjing, noted that its founding generation had gradually built a startup school into a renowned one with outstanding disciplines, a strong faculty, and high reputation both at home and abroad.
Ye Huiquan – a member of the JNU board, chairman of the school's Alumni Association, and president of Guangdong Zovie Group Co., Ltd. – said the school had continued the century-old business disciplines supported by its profound history and educational philosophy, making great contributions to national strategies and regional socio-economic development.
JNU President Song Xianzhong presented certificates of honor to the representatives of teachers who have worked at the school for 25 years or more. In that time, he said, alumni have supported their successors and actively assumed social responsibility, donating more than 200 million yuan to both JNU and the school. This anniversary has brought a total of 13.86 million yuan in contributions from alumni, who accepted certificates of donation and appreciation from Lin and Song.

In the morning, the Alumni Association held its second leadership turnover meeting. Alumni representatives offered suggestions for the development of JNU and the school.
In the afternoon, the school held its Business School Development Forum, inviting deans from Sun Yat-sen University, Xiamen University, Wuhan University, City University of Hong Kong and other renowned schools in and outside China to put forward multi-dimensional solutions to the new challenges and problems faced in business education in China.
