Prof. Ai Desheng, leader of the Ministry of Education's Laboratory Safety Expert Group and deputy director of Tsinghua University's Office of Laboratory Management, led a six-member delegation to JNU to evaluate lab safety management on Oct. 30.

Ai and his team inspected labs on the Panyu Campus and visited public platforms and research labs to learn about the safety facilities and access evaluation procedures. The two sides discussed such problems as safety management of hazardous chemicals, building a lab safety team, information technology-based labs, and chemical labs. Ai said JNU's lab safety scoring system and safety training practices were worth learning. Both sides said they would strengthen exchange and cooperation to further promote lab safety management toward a new level.
