Mo Youxue, a 100-meter national athlete who is the coach of Jinan University's track and field team, was specially invited by the JNU Shenzhen Campus Party Committee to lecture on his sports career on Oct. 25, encouraging students to carry forward tenacious and unyielding sportsmanship.
Given at the Yanhanshan Hotel in Shenzhen, the lecture was hosted by Tang Minhui, secretary of the Campus Party Committee. The audience of nearly 300 included Li Zhen, executive director of the Campus Management Committee; Zhang Mu, chairman of the Campus Trade Union; Chen Chuangye, a teacher in the School of Physical Education; Zhang Duanxiang, director of the Campus Student Affairs Office; and representatives of alumni, faculty members from various departments, and students.

Mo began by showing his arduous road from a small town to the world arena through a video of his sprinting career. He then shared his career highlights, including winning the 2013 World Junior Championships men's 100-meter – the first Chinese athlete to win that event – and performing the ninth track miracle in the 2015 World Athletics Championships 4 x100-meter relay.

In the question-and-answer session after the lecture, Mo said perseverance and love that had made him train year after year. He said he wanted to regard these two qualities as the strongest weapons to achieve his dreams. Students who asked questions also received souvenirs signed by Mo.
