The Guangdong Department of Education held a province-wide video conference on Sept. 22 on 2023 school logistics work. JNU set up a branch meeting and also held a conference on food safety, where JNU Vice President Weng Jian spoke.

The province-wide video conference covered recent typical cases of school logistics work. In addition, Liu Ying of the Guangdong Administration for Market Regulation conducted special training titled Practicing 'Prevention First' Supervision of Food Safety and Implementing Early Detection, Rapid Rectification and Implementation Risk Management and Control.

After the video conference, JNU held its conference on food safety in the 2023 fall semester. Weng fully recognized food safety achievements by the logistics departments of all campuses and said he hoped departments would make persistent efforts to improve food safety and catering services for teachers and students. More than 50 officials from JNU five campuses and the logistics departments attended.
