Profs. Li Xiangping and Deng Zilan of JNU’s College of Chemistry and Materials Science, have achieved enhanced dual-band polarized upconversion photoluminescence by coupling high-quality (Q-factor) dielectric resonant metasurfaces with upconversion particles, in collaboration with Prof. Yuri Kivshar from the Australian National University and Prof. Li Junjie’s team from the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Their research findings, titled “Dual-band polarized upconversion photoluminescence enhanced by resonant dielectric metasurfaces,” have been published in the high-impact academic journal eLight. The first authors are Ph.D. students Feng Ziwei and Shi Tan of College of Chemistry and Materials Science, and the corresponding authors are Profs Li Xiangping, Deng, Kivshar and Li Junjie. JNU is the first corresponding unit.
