Departments at Jinan University showcased messages on electronic screens in public areas on Sept. 10 to celebrate the 39th Teachers' Day. The messages included Committed to the cause of education to strengthen the country, Hello, Teachers, Happy Teachers' Day and Teachers, thank you for your hard work.

Launched by the Ministry of Education's Department of Teacher Education and the China Teacher Development Foundation, the Lights Up for Teachers public welfare activity called on all regions in the country to display messages on landmarks and LED screens for teachers on the evening of Teachers' Day. The main goal was to promote a culture of respect for teachers and lead all sectors of society in recognizing and honoring teachers.

JNU departments actively celebrated the Teachers' Day. Since Sept. 8, some electronic screens had been lit up in advance with banners congratulating teachers.
