The launch of the audiobook New Zealand: The Untouched World was celebrated at Guangzhou South China Book Festival on Aug. 20. In attendance were Zhou Yanhong, deputy consul-general of New Zealand in Guangzhou; JNU Vice President Ye Wencai, and the book's author, Tao Li.
Tao shared the course of creating the audiobook whose highlights were recited by Wang Xiangqun, voice of Touching China, a famous former broadcaster of China Central Television and vocal performing artist. The audiobook has been launched on Himalaya, the largest audiobook platform in China, for readers and listeners in China and abroad, promoting the spreading of excellent Chinese literature.

Ye presented a copy of the book to the Consulate General of New Zealand in Guangzhou. Zhou thanked Tao, JNU and JNU Press for promoting cultural exchange between China and New Zealand through the book.

New Zealand: The Untouched World is a collection of essays on New Zealand tourism and culture published by JNU Press. Tao, writer and director in New Zealand, was awarded honorable mention in the Lao She Prose Award for one of the essays in the book Maritime Affairs and Incidents of Flowers in Wellington.
