JNU President Song Xianzhong led a delegation to Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) from July 3 to 5 to study and discuss cooperation issues.
Guo Yike, principal vice president of HKUST, received the delegation on July 3. The two parties signed the Agreement on Research Cooperation and Academic Exchange between JNU and HKUST, gathering both parties' strengths to carry out comprehensive cooperation in the disciplines of communication and media, overseas Chinese studies, information, and public services to jointly contribute to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Song attended the Annual Conference of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance and the Presidents Forum hosted by CUHK on July 4. At the forum, he spoke on the theme Comprehensively Improving the Quality of Independent Talent Cultivation and five relationships to be addressed in higher education: between individuals and nations; between undergraduate training and graduate training; between hard sciences, the study of natural phenomena, and soft sciences, the study of humanity and society; between integrative training and categorical training and between basic and applied disciplines.
The delegation visited EdUHK on July 5.
