Prof. He Rongrong of JNU’s School of Traditional Chinese Medicine was among the 10 winners of the second Zhong Nanshan Youth Science and Technology Innovation Award, announced on July 14. The award honors scientific and technical fellows in health care and life sciences. Prof. He is the only honoree from Guangdong this year and JNU's first scientific and technical fellow to win this award.

Approved by the Chinese Communist Youth League Central Committee and authorized by Zhong Nanshan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the award encourages young people to learn from Zhong's commitment to contributing to the country, to continuously seek progress, and devote themselves to innovative practices, boosting innovative development in health care and life science. Open to scientific and technical fellows under 40, the award is granted to no more than 10 awardees each year.
