The Guangdong Institute of Smart Education, founded by the Guangdong Education Department and Jinan University, has been designated a standard writing unit responsible for drafting Technical and Application Evaluation Methods for Large-Scale Pre-Trained Models, Part Four: Model Application, published during the Hangzhou General Artificial Intelligence Development Forum on May 30 and 31.

By preparing the standard, the institute makes great contributions to the research and development of large-model technology and helps promote its sustainable development.

The forum took place at the Future Science City in Hangzhou. It was organized by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the People's Government of Hangzhou and the China Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Alliance.

With Opportunities and Challenges of Large Model Applications as its theme, the forum brought together nearly 1,000 representatives of the national and local governments, enterprises and research institutions to discuss the current status of large model applications and exploring future development trends.

Exemplified by ChatGPT, the rapid development of large-scale models in artificial intelligence has significantly accelerated the engineering and popularization of AI, with the potential to become the foundation of the next generation of intelligent technologies. China is still in the early stages of developing its large-model industry. The drafting of the standard is of great importance in promoting the implementation of large-scale model applications in China, as well as driving the industry toward standardization, compliance and scalability.
