Expert panels from the China Education Association for International Exchange made an on-site recertification inspection of JNU's education for international students from May 23 to 24.

JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng, President Song Xianzhong, Vice Presidents Zhang Hong and Weng Jian, and the heads of the key departments and colleges related to international education, attended the introduction and feedback conference. 

During the introduction, Song described the basic situation of education for international students to China at JNU. He said JNU would establish key programs and projects for overseas students to promote international student education with diverse methods.

Pu Ruoqian, director of Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, reported on the evaluation and improvement of the certification work.

During the on-site inspection, the expert panels interviewed the school leaders in charge of overseas students, as well as representatives of administrators, teachers and international students to learn more about their teaching and management. The panels visited the History Museum, library, Center for Mental Health Education, International School, College of Chinese Language and Culture, dormitories, and canteens to learn about students’ learning and living environment. They audited courses for international students, including An Introduction to Chinese Culture and Food Microbiology. The expert panels also examined the archives related to enrollment, teaching, and management of international students.

Lin Shiliang, director of the expert panels, summarized the on-site inspection and highly praised the management of JNU's international education. He said he expected JNU to further improve the internationalization of education and teaching with higher standing and stricter quality standards, and to reach a new level in modernizing Chinese-style education.
