The Guangzhou Intellectual Property Talent Base, established by the People’s Government of Guangdong, the People's Government of Guangzhou and Jinan University, officially opened on April 26. The base aims to become a talent cultivation center for intellectual property in South China, promoting the construction of six major centers -- the High-End IP Research Center, High-End IP Education Center, IP Social Service Center, IP Senior Service Center, International IP Incubation Center and IP Big Data Center -- as well as public service platform for science and technology finance.
JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng said the university held an academic event for World Intellectual Property Day that day and National Intellectual Property Publicity Week, inviting experts to witness the new stage of the intellectual property discipline's development at JNU and discuss frontier issues in this area. The event is of great importance in creating a good atmosphere for intellectual property protection and building a strong intellectual property rights power, Lin said.
After the opening ceremony, foreign and domestic experts discussed cutting-edge issues in IP rights at the International Conference on Frontier Problems of Intellectual Property New Balance.
