A conference on National Reading, hosted by the JNU Trade Union Committee and Library and organized by the Trade Union of School of Art, was held in the Shipai campus library on April 28. It included a summary of the faculty's reading activities; the award ceremony for audio reading on the Yougu platform; the award ceremony for the letter of appointment of the second-level Trade Union's nationwide reading promoters; the library's 2022 annual report on reading; the award ceremony for Reading Stars and Library Regulars; the interpretation of resource-sharing of Sun Yat-sen Library of Guangdong Province; and Voice to the World, a recitation of Chinese classics.
Launched on Oct.1, the activity received 236 audio reading works and boasted 2,504 page views. As a mobile bookstore, the audio reading platform allows faculty members to spend their free time intensively reading essays or paragraphs, which is to be kept year-round. The conference appointed a group of national reading promoters, leading the faculty to engage actively in and promote National Reading activities.
