JNU's Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Natural Products held a renewal agreement and unveiling ceremony on April 13 for the laboratory it is constructing with Tokyo Rikakikai Co., Ltd. (EYELA), a Japanese scientific instrument manufacturer).
Gao Hao, the institute's director, described its rapid development over the last 20 years from a single discipline to multidisciplinary cross-integration under the leadership of Academician Yao Xinsheng. He mentioned the institute's many landmark results in talent-training, team-building, scientific research and serving society.
Ryuta Fujita, EYELA's general manager for Greater China, described its development history and indicated that EYELA would continue to strengthen product research and development. JNU Vice President Ye Wencai said he hoped for the deep integration of the university's scientific research advantages and enterprises' technological advantages through the lab's renewal, radiating the cooperative to the entire Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and all of China.
The two sides then signed the renewal agreement, and Yao, Ye, Gao, Ryuta Fujita, and Zhang Jingming, EYELA's chief technology officer, unveiled the lab's plaque.

The renewal agreement is expected to be an opportunity to encourage scientific and technological exchanges and maintain friendship between China and Japan.
JNU's Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Natural Products of has cooperated with EYELA for 17 years. The renewal agreement, which enhances the cooperation, is of great significance to more deeply integrating disciplinary talents and industrial advantages through industry-university-institute synergy, as well as school-enterprise win-win cooperation.
